I’ve had the privilege of working alongside this detective/sergeant for a while now, and he’s no regular walk-in-the-park police officer. He’s been deeply involved in some of the most gruesome gang investigations, both at the federal and state level, and has truly seen it all. From understanding the structure of prison gangs to navigating neighborhood hybrid gangs, his knowledge runs deep. I’ve learned valuable techniques and methods directly from him, and I’ve seen firsthand how committed he is to sharing that knowledge by teaching other law enforcement officers how to properly document gang members. While others in supervisor roles shy away from proactive work, he doesn’t hesitate—he leads from the front. A hell of a guy all around.
